[irl] katie :: geek girl
1. Uni is kicking my ass. Well, not really, because I'm doing FINE, but time-wise I'm swamped, with three essays due very soon and presentations and stuff. At least I'm enjoying every single class, it's been a while since I was THAT excited about what I'm doing.

2. I'm writing a term paper on Stephen Colbert. That fills me with glee.

3. I'm writing my MA thesis on fanvidding. My thesis advisor agreed and concluded that I apparently know what I'm doing so godspeed. That fills me with TOO MUCH GLEE OMG.

4. A little swamped with work, because the exams for the junior high students are next week, and so everyone remembered that maybe OH MY GOD they need to PREPARE and such. Leads to panicked parents calling me and asking if I could have additional classes with the kids. As long as they're paying, well, I could.

5. I'm going to a Q&A with Tim Roth on Wednesday. That's kind of really, really cool.

6. I am applying for a study tour to the US. Keep your fingers crossed for me? That would be so fantastically awesome I can't even.

Due to the recent phase of the migration caused by LJ's crashtimes... This entry was originally posted on Dreamwidth. If you can see it, everything's working fine.

I am on dreamwidth here.

Also, invite codes. I have 14, if you want them, let me know.

In other news, I'm not dead. Just crazy busy.

A/N: Actors!AU, same verse as Light up the trenches where my heart lies (until I can breath again), my GK Big Bang fic that was buckets and buckets of angst. This is my apology fic, which is mostly fluff and wish fulfillment and silliness and too much awards season coverage. It's all [livejournal.com profile] kubis's fault anyway.

Adjustment Bureau AU for Generation Kill. COME ON, IT MAKES SENSE.

I am posting the first part here so you guys can kick my ass to finish it soon. I think I can count on you?

It will make more sense, I suppose, if you've seen the movie, though I'll be changing a lot. If not, you can probably google a summary.

(If you'd happen to be of the GK fandom, I also offer a ficlet of your prompting as a thank you :))

Fanfic exorcism. I need to feel less guilty about my giant fic list so I can concentrate on a) finishing Demons AU, b) writing another part of the 'Set out on a narrow way' verse, c) we'll see.

So, without further ado:

Chuck AU, in which Walt is the Intersect, Ray has excellent taste, Nate is zen, and Brad hates his job and life )

the vampire AU sequel )

in which Nate might or might not be an Indiana Jones )

in which Brad pisses off a witch, and they might or not be in the Supernatural universe )

Summary: Actors AU. Brad Colbert and Nate Fick had met on the set of a now cancelled sci-fi show, years ago. Now, Hollywood turns out to be a small town after all, and it’s hard to avoid someone you broke up with. Especially when you both sign up for the same movie.
