Do you by any chance know or use a book called Historical Linguistics by a guy named Herbert Schendl? It's in this Oxford series. Because if you have it, then I can have my national pride, because he's teaching at our department, and I actually took the historical linguistics course with him last semester. (Yes, I am sad and I need to be proud of my country. Or not. Maybe it's better not to...)
