Do you by any chance know or use a book called Historical Linguistics by a guy named Herbert Schendl? It's in this Oxford series. Because if you have it, then I can have my national pride, because he's teaching at our department, and I actually took the historical linguistics course with him last semester. (Yes, I am sad and I need to be proud of my country. Or not. Maybe it's better not to...)
Oh, and BTW, just because I see (and love) your new layout, I've just started watching Gilmore Girls. It was recommended by so many friends, and then one of those friends lent me the first season, so now - go watchiness!
