Considering how crappy some of the SW novels are, I'm not sure if it's impressive... But I most certainly love my Zahn and Stackpole and Allston novels. And the NJO isn't half bad...

But hooray indeedy *L* Geeks would take over the world... if we weren't busy queueing for the movie premieres and books releases. *nod*

Out of the SW novels I have, I have to say my favs (not counting the JA books, cause I love them) are Rogue Planet, Cloak of Deception and The Cestus Deception.

I'm not much of a prequel girl (apart from my obvious Obi/Qui obsessionadoration)... but I did have all Apprentice books. Unfortunately some total asshat borrowed them and didn't bring them back. *sporks him*
But deep at heart I'm an X-wing!ho. I adore Rogue Squadron's pilots... and Wedge, ah, Wedge. The man who singlehandedly made that awfully ridonkoulus Rebel Pilot Orangey-nightmarish outfit actually sexy...
And we all know he's Obi-Wan's uncle, yay! *does a happy fan!girl dance*

Prequels... I love, love, love Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. Not so much for Anakin, myself, although he grew up on me in the last installment. Big fan of Natalie, because, maaan, she's lovely. But I'm more in love with the galaxy full of pirates, smugglers and rebel princesses than this polished prequel era... But gimme Obi-Wan in handcuffs and I'll happily switch sides... (not to the dark side, just to the fun side...)

It's insane how much I love Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. Do you remember in book 9, Fight for Truth, Qui-Gon had a vision and it was about Obi-Wan in his exile on Tatooine? OMG when I read that I nearly had a fit! It makes it all the more sad, he got a glimpse of what was to come even if he chose not to believe it.

It's like in the RotS, when Yoda mentions Qui-Gon... I squealed so loud that half of the cinema looked at me *very* strangely... sigh... people just don't get me.

Omg I know! Did you see how Obi-Wan's face lit up when Yoda mentioned him?! In the comic adaptation of RotS and in the original script, Qui-Gon and Yoda actually talk together, I'm praying sooooooo much that that will be in the deleted scenes on the RotS dvd.
