I've watched Farscape.
Yeah, finally.

Actually, I've watched first volume of s1, which means random six eps of s1 and I really do mean random because it's a boxset I bought in France and the French messed the episodes totally.
Which means that after the pilot, which is indeed labeled episode 1, there's 5 totally random eps.

Which leads to one confused Noelia.

But I like it. I'm kind of in love with Crichton already. I just wish I would get wtf it's all really about.

Oh, well. Must get all eps and some directory...

Here's what you need to know:
John is love.
John loves Aeryn.
Scorpy is evil love.
Braca is Scorpy's bitch.
John is crazy (though not in S1).
Moya is a ship, a living ship, full of escaping prisoners.
Zhaan is shiny and blue.

I got the Moya part, so yay me. It's kinda similar to the Yuuzhan technology in New Jedi Order, with the living thing, and pain experiencing and... sorry. Star Wars geek takes better of me when I don't pay attention.
I'm also getting serious John/Aeryn vibes, even in those few weird eps I've watched.
I agree on John love. I started watching because of sg-1 s9 where Ben and Claudia are teh awesomeness so I do agree...
I'll get to the craziness later.
I just need to find eps somewhere... those that I have I bought when I was in France. I don't think I'll have a chance to buy dvds in Poland, so I'll have to download... and on my modem(!) it will take ages.
Bleh.
Oh, well. I got all 9 seasons of sg and 7 seasons of buffy and 5 seasons of Angel... it took me begging and bribing but I've manage to get them. I will get fscape too. *nod*

The only question I have now is... what/who are Peacekeepers? (apart from the fact that Aeryn was one?)

Um, what's your spoiler-status on Farscape, just for my reference? It's way better if you watch unspoiled, but if you like, already know stuff from later seasons...

Anyhow, Peacekeepers are pretty much law enforcement types? They're supposed to make sure everything is running ship-shape and is orderly, but in actuality, they're pretty brutal and inhumane... there's this whole military culture/etc that goes along with it... very much with the xenophobia and whatnot. (hence declaring Aeryn irreversibly contaminated for spending too much time with John.)

Oh... so I'll totally shut up about s9 *sighs with relief that she hadn't spoiled you yet...*

Up till now I wasn't much interested in Farscape, mostly because I didn't want to get into yet another fandom - I had too many of them as it is, and sometimes can't keep up (especially living in a country where 90% of good shows is impossible to get).
Then I got interested because of, well, Claudia and Ben (eye!candy or what?! and talented eye!candy to boot :) hee :)). But untill now I didn't care so I didn't care about being spoiled... And the way of not caring I've read some spoilers... Like recs of Peacekeepers Wars, for example.
So I'm not very much opposite spoilers, as I am spoiled already.

Besides, being spoiled is for me nothing new... After all, I've first watched Buffy s6 finale and then watched everything since season 3... (it's a long and kind of funny story... about a very confused Noelia ;))

Wheee! Farscape is love.

Basic story: John's stuck on the ship with a whole bunch of people who want to go home/don't want to get caught by the Peacekeepers. So they go from place to place trying to do that. Only they get everyone in the galaxy on their case. And John/Aeryn OTP, OMG.

Hope you get the correct order, cuz seriously, it's so good.
