Dear Santa,

I want TIME for Christmas.

Love,
Noelia.

I'm serious here. I am in desperate need for, oh, maybe six hours more every day. I find myself running everywhere, not having a time to eat or sleep or *do* anything. I have 7 hours of Uni everyday, 2 hours on buses or trams, 2 hours of tutoring people, 1 hour of doing homework... and then the day is gone and I hadn't done anything FUN.
I don't have time to read, watch tv, read my flist (for which I am very sorry, guys. I'm a lousy commenter lately). I skim over flist, not read posts as I used to.
Then again, I've already flunked a year, I need to study hard now. But tell me again, why did I ask for the extra work? I mean, yeah, the prof said he's impressed with my writing, and that I'm ahead of the class and that my work is top-notch and maybe I need something more challenging, something actually stimulating. And yeah, the prof is cute. And yeah, I smiled and said of course... Ya know, I'd sign off my soul if the devil was cute and spoke in English with a nice accent. You know I would.

I took the afternoon off today. Called my student and told them I'm sick and can't come. And I went to see my Grandma and had my hair done, and now I'm a redhead again and it's way cool. I feel slightly better.
I've read some fic, and I've skimmed through my flist and gosh, I was behind... I watched new BSG promo and squeed over and I feel much, much better now.
Maybe I'll survive the next month of running.
So all is good.

Now. Sekkrit message to Cala. I've got your mail about beta but I hadn't got any fics since Abby's King and Faith's Blood. So, wtf, mate?

And because [livejournal.com profile] colourful_muse tagged me...

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "Running Home" by Matthew Good Band.
This is my River's song. It's broken and sad and perfect and beautiful...
They beam things into your head // the ghosts of your pleasure and contempt // when we were liars things were seamless // when we were wired the world was like a secret

2. "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter.
Theme song for the last days. It gets me going when it comes up on my iPod, it gets me humming and makes me feel better...
You stand in the line just to hit a new low // You're faking a smile with the coffee to go // You tell me your life's been way off line // You're falling to pieces everytime

3. "Beautiful Ones" by Poets of the Fall.
If there ever was a Buffy/Giles song, this is the one. Plus, the guy singing it has an *amazing* voice.
Flies with a broken wing, she's ever so graceful, so like an angel // but I see, tears flow quietly. // The struggle she's seen this spring, when nothing comes dancing // paying a handsome fee, and still she smiles at me.

4. "Cornflake Girl" by Tori Amos.
I adore most of Tori's song, but Cornflake Girl is my all-time fav.
Never was a cornflake girl // Thought that was a good solution // Hanging with the raisin girls // She's gone to the other side // Givin us a yo heave ho

5. "Jerusalem" by Anouk.
I've seen this as a BSG vid, one of my favourites. My recent crack.
Sir can you tell me how to get to Jerusalem // 'Cause I have kinda lost my way // Sir will you help me get there as fast as I can // Tomorrow might be too late

6. "The Freshmen" by the Verve Pipe.
It's a weird, deliciously pretty and strange song... Love it.
When I was young I knew everything // And she a punk who rarely ever took advice // Now I'm guilt stricken, sobbin' with my head on the floor // Stop a baby's breath and a shoe full of rice, no...

7. "At Seventeen" by Janis Ian
Another bittersweet pretty, pretty song.
I learned the truth at seventeen // That love was meant for beauty queens // In high school girls with clear skinned smiles // Who married young and then retired

not tagging anyone. wanna, do it. don't wanna, don't. :D
If you want any of those songs, let me know, I'll upload them for ya.

Also... I feel another 'guess the song' lyrcis post comming. Feel like doing some guessing?

Yay, red hair. Haven't had that in some time ;)
I know what you mean with needing more time. Do you think if we both ask Santa for it he might consider it?
Thanks for doing the meme!

Just one thing, you might be able to help me there... I tried to use the component layout, but I couldn't figure out how to put a header in it. Is it very complicated to do?

It is beyond me, actually. I had someone to write overrides codes for me, now I only change the url for the banner there and change the colours through the usual customisation... I can send you the override codes to mine, but that's all I can do (I do suck at layouts, I do)

I would be forever thankful if you could do that... I looked at those layout tutorials, but it was all just like... yeah, well, someone was hopping around on the keyboard. And just a stupid question, who is the person next to Lee in your icon?

BTW, I'm sorry I haven't got around to betaing your story, but I'm having a crazy time at the moment... I'll do it as quickly as I can, but I can't promise yet - but I'll do it.

Kay, gimme a sec, I'll send the codes to you by mail.

Also. It's Lexa Doig, Rommie of Andromeda and Dr. Lam of Stargate SG-1 season 9... Mostly, it's because she plays a part of Noelia in my Star Wars game, so I figured, why not? And Lee got a part of Wedge there (well, why not? When I've first saw BSG I thought Lee is *SO* much a Wedge - who is my favourite Star Wars character, also a pilot, also a leader, also following the rules up to the point he thinks they are frakked up... Yeah. Well. :D)

Sending the codes now.
