...I sure post a lot, eh?

But there's a hotspot not so far from our flat, and, well.

After feeling a little down yesterday (I blame the weather and my period, yes) I'm back to form today. My feet stopped to hurt... just in time, cuz I work tomorrow and then they will start hurting again. Vicious circle, I'm telling you.

There were people offering free hugs on Princes Street. Had me smiling for half an hour, like a moron. Went to 'Ann Summers' and bought some underwear. PRETTY. Also, not so expensive, cuz, sale. Also smile-inducing. And the changing rooms there are kind of the size of my room in the old flat. Huh.

ALSO. Comment here with your address if you want a postcard from Edinburgh. Quick, before I still have money for stamps ;). Even if you think I may have your address, give it to me anyway, didn't take my notebook. Comments screened.

In other news:
*Saw a guy in 'Save a Cheerleader, Save the World' shirt. HEEE.
*Saw Lush shop. My wallet is scared.

*Bought some porn. Went to the till with two CSI:NY tie-ins, forensics textbook, and D/s porn novel. You should have seen the face of the guy at the counter. Me just smiled prettily. HEEE.
*days of work: 4. guys trying on kilts: 16. kilts bought: 12. noelia's giddyness: infinite.

So, how is it going for me in Edinburgh, you may want to ask? (Or not, depending on whether you've noticed I'm rarely on lj right now because of me being in Scotland and not having regular net access... lets all pretend you did notice and you did miss me).

It is going fun. Yes, I do work nine hours a day (not including overtime, which I do clock up a lot of, because of the festival and tourists and crowds) and my feet and legs and back HURT like hell... but money! books! weee! (and of course, guys in kilts. and me helping them put said kilts on. many many guys and many many kilts...).

I have also seen Harry Potter and the Order of Pheonix and it have rocked. Especially Snape, yes indeed. Bring on the next book YES.
(I have pre-ordered the new book. I feel very good about it).

According to some opinions, I have picked up some of the Scottish accent. I have not noticed, but then again, I rarely notice the way I speak.

Bought the sonic screwdriver. Not apologetic in the slightest, because it makes a cool noise, yes it does.

Lost some weight, methinks. Might be because I don't actually have time to eat during the day and when I come back, I'm too tired to eat. So it's usually just a big breakfast and some danish and tea during the day. Not healthy, yes, but I'm trying to be better.

Photos and more coherent reports coming soon.

Well, some 'weeeee' at least. Some 'meh'. Some 'awesome' and some 'huh' as well.

I'm here. In Edinburgh. It's beautiful. It's also helluva expensive, especially flat-wise. Money melting quickly.

I have a job, though. Job requires me to help guys try on kilts. BEST JOB EVER. It also involves other things, but I remain concentrated on the important stuff, as always.

Bookshops are awesome. Money melting quicker.

Generally it's fun, apart from other people whining and wanting to go home. (Seriously. It's my first real job and my first real holidays on my own, and I am panicking like hell all the time, but at least I keep it it myself and don't bother others with constant constant WHINING. Yes, I am bitter. I am also too polite to tell them off myself, so... sorry for venting to you).

Someone stop me from buying a sonic screwdriver.

(I bought Giles and Wesley action figures and am doing some fanfic reenactments. FUN. Too bad clothes don't come off).

See you next time I have net access.

Who on earth had thought up the 25 kilos of luggage rule for the planes?

How am I supposed to pack? I already cut down and am not taking ANY books with me, and this is wrong on so many levels (yes, sure, I will be in a country with all bookshops selling books in English, but HEY). I cut down on clothes. I cut down on make-up and I am NOT TAKING ANY (well, I lied. Am taking lip gloss. But still). I cut down on the freakin' underwear!

STILL TOO HEAVY.

Oh, well. The airline allows me to take a 'small purse'. I am taking my laptop in my 'small purse'. And my phones. And iPod. And cables. And wallet. And notebook. And CDs. And water. And some food. And if the guy at the airport calls me on it, I'll look at him with wide puppy-eyes (I can do them if I try) and I'm going to say 'this IS my small purse. You hadn't seen my LARGE purse'.

Leaving tomorrow OMG. PANICPANICPANICand disorder and chaos.

I called a guy in Edinburgh about a job, and it all looks fine, and we'll see in two weeks when I get there and meet him, but the conversation made me realise one very important thing.

I CAN'T GO TO SCOTLAND.

No, seriously. Think about it. Accents automatically add +5 on any scale of attractiveness for me, and to go to a country where everyone speaks like Ewan McGregor, or David Tennant? I see a reasonably cute guy in a coffee shop or whatever, and then he SAYS SOMETHING and I combust right there on the spot.

Also, randomnly. Need a new layout. Methinks David Tennant, 'cuz a)obsession, b)Scotland!
